What Clients Say

I have been using Humbird Media's services for a few years now and became a huge fan of their work. I was referred to them for a new website design and it was beyond my expectations. Since then, I have hired them for numerous marketing projects such as social media maintenance, book covers, business cards, bookmarks, etc. and they have done an amazing job with my brand. From their outstanding attention to detail, superior customer service, I highly recommend using their services. You will not be disappointed!

How to Turn Customers into Clients

BLOG TRANSCRIPT

Hey guys! It’s Cory here from Humbird Media and we wanna thank you for tuning in to today’s blog post! So, today we’re gonna talk about “How to Turn Customers into Clients”.

I know what some of you are thinking, “Wait… What? There’s a difference?”

Yep. Let’s show you what the difference is and why you need to make that change.

Let’s get into it!

So firstly, I learned this difference from one of my former co-workers, and what she basically said was that customers are short-term and clients are long term. So, with that, how do you get your customers to become long-term clients?

#1: Turn them into friends

Be friends with the people that do business with you. Remember their names, their birthdays, what they said the last time you talked. And in situations where it’s appropriate, develop a non-business relationship. Invite them to a party you’re throwing or help them with something you know they’d appreciate like helping them move or finishing a Labour Day project. In other words, treat them like a good friend.

#2: The second thing you’ll want to do to turn customers into clients is to value their business.

Always treat them like a million dollars. Never take their business for granted. Even when you don’t necessarily need to, treat them with the best service possible. A lot of people make the mistake of giving less than acceptable service to the people they see all the time. Thinking, they don’t have to treat the customers well because they’re there often enough. But they won’t necessarily continue to do business with you when the service you give starts to bother them.

#3: Be consistent

This is the probably the hardest thing to do, because it has to do with who you are. Being consistent in friendliness and valuing your customers’ business Is gonna be hard if you’re faking it. In fact, you can’t fake it for long. So the best thing to do is to become that person who’s a good friend and values other people’s business. That way, all you’ll have to do is be yourself, and watch your customers become transformed into clients, and you’ll have a super stable business!

Ok guys. That’s it for “How to Turn Customers into Clients”. See you next time!
